Like an 80s rock band reunited.

Black, with grey leather. 17" wheels and tires, sports suspension, better seats and not much else. A true drivers car as specced by the original owner. Whenever I think of that car is about the only time I was rich again, even though I hated the job that let me buy such nice toys. Such a sweet ride...

It was a six-figure job in the entertainment industry in Beverly Hills. One nice thing about working there was that I never had to worry about drug testing; if they instituted that we’d probably have lost 90% of the employees.
It was a seriously high-pressure place that turned me into a borderline alcoholic with a smoking problem, legal and otherwise. Part of the problem was that I, due to the nature of my job (network engineer) I really didn’t fit in there. I use science and logic, whereas those things have absolutely no place in the entertainment industry - it’s all about attitude, emotions and feelings, things us engineer types tend to filter out in order to get shit done.
After leaving that place I found that I’d rather be happy than rich. My drinking and smoking problems disappeared, and I was much more content. Nowadays I’m making maybe a third of what I made easy back when, not adjusted for inflation, but I love my job, my co-workers, management and my customers. It’s a much better life, even if I am falling apart...
